Message from the Superintendent

Welcome to Fort Sam Houston ISD!  I am truly honored and humbled to serve as your Superintendent of Schools.   We are excited to welcome new and returning students back to our district.  As military families you have many options on how you choose to educate your child and we thank you for selecting Fort Sam Houston. At Fort Sam Houston, we exist to serve the military child and we take that charge very seriously.  We have the staff, the military community and parental support to ensure our students are taken care of so that our military families can serve their country.  We are blessed to be among a supportive military community and we thank each of you for your service.

Fort Sam Houston has earned a reputation for excellence in academics and extracurriculars. The people in our community make a difference every day for our students.  Our staff is dedicated to meeting each child’s academic, social and emotional needs. Our School Board and district leadership are committed to providing each school with the necessary resources to ensure success. And, parents and community members give to our schools generously in terms of their time, talent, and resources.

We pride ourselves on working tirelessly to prepare our students to be successful leaders of the 21st century and it is an honor and a privilege to have your child with us here at Fort Sam Houston ISD.
