Cole Student Performer Selected to Sing at Carnegie Hall

Anthony Mireles, a student at Robert G. Cole High School, has been selected for the High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall. Anthony will perform as a tenor in February with the Honors Concert Choir. Participation in the Honors Ensembles is limited to the highest-rated young performers from across the world.
Anthony Mireles auditioned for the Honors Performance Series and was recently accepted after a review by the Honors Selection Board. Acceptance to the elite group is a direct result of the talent, dedication, and achievements demonstrated in their application and audition recording.
 
Anthony Mireles has studied music for 9 years and is a member of Robert G. Cole High School's Varsity Choir, Theatre, and Musical Theatre programs. Anthony was also selected to be a member of the 2024 All-State Region Choir. Anthony received a Superior rating and gold in the Solo category at the 2024 UIL State Championship as well as an Excellent in the Ensemble category. Anthony has additionally been recognized with numerous other honors, including the National Choral Award, Vice President’s Award from the International Texas Thespians, the All-Star Cast Award at both District and Bi-District UIL One Act Play in 2024, and Superior ratings at both the UIL Choir Region and State competitions.

Anthony Mireles will join performers from across the United States, Bermuda, Canada, China, and South Korea for a special performance at the world-famous Carnegie Hall, a venue that marks the pinnacle of musical achievement. The finalists will come together in New York where they will have the opportunity to learn from world-renowned conductors, work with other performers, and get a taste of New York City. The Honors Performance will take place on February 9, 2025, and is open to the public. Tickets can be purchased beginning approximately 60 days prior to the performance through the Carnegie Hall box office.
